Tips for using your Miracle Stainless Steel
Rice Cooker:
To avoid starchy steam bubbling from the
lid while cooking rice, use the vegetable steamer on top of the
stainless steel rice pot and then the glass lid on the steamer
tray (even if you are not steaming vegetables). Not a drop of
starchy steam bubbles while using the steamer tray.
Brown rice will require more water and
a longer cooking time than white rice.
Short and medium grain rice requires less
water than long grain rice.
- Once your Miracle Stainless Steel Rice
Cooker turns to the 'keep warm' function, lift the lid and stir
the rice. This will aid the cooked rice from forming a sticky
layer at the bottom while sitting on the keep warm element.
- Do not keep your cooked rice in the Miracle
Stainless Steel Rice Cooker for longer than 2 hours on the keep
warm function. Store cooked rice in the refrigerator in a tightly
sealed covered container (using a less tight cover, such as plastic
wrap, will leave you with dry, tasteless rice).
- The Miracle Stainless Steel Rice Cooker
also steams artichokes perfectly! Place a washed artichoke with
the stem cut in the stainless inner pot and add water to the
number "2" line. Put the empty vegetable steamer tray
and the lid on the rice pot and press the lever to "cook".
When the water is evaporated, the lever will flip to "warm".
Unplug the unit and enjoy a perfectly cooked artichoke. (Note:
do not leave the rice cooker on the warm setting after the water
is evaporated or you may risk dry burning the inner pot.)
- When using the Miracle Stainless Steel
Rice Cooker, it is recommended to have the rice cooker pulled
out from underneath the kitchen cabinets, which will allow any
rising steam to avoid contact with your upper cabinet.
- For cleaning the stainless steel inner
cooking pot, soaking the inner pot for a couple of hours makes
clean up a breeze. Any rice that did stick to the stainless steel
inner bowl just washes away after soaking. If one prefers to
wash the stainless steel inner pot immediately after using, it
will require a small amount of scrubbing.
